About Us

The Michael J. Otten Memorial Scholarship Fund and Charity was established by family and friends, to assist those in our communities who are in need. This fund was created in memory of Michael, whose heroism on September 11, 2001 is an inspiration to us all.

The MJO Memorial Scholarship Fund and Charity committee members are: Richard John Otten, Richard Joseph Otten, Anthony Cosenza, John Cosenza, Mark Larsen, Nick Roller, Michael W. Otten, Andrew Rotolo, and Michael Randazzo.

The golf outings have raised enough money to establish college scholarships for graduating seniors in the East Islip and Deer Park High Schools. It has also allowed the fund to give to other charities dedicated to aiding in the growth and development of children and community enrichment programs as well as those in need, in Michael's name.
